We help Yukoners reconnect with their body, mind, and breath through various exercises in mindfulness, movement, and meditation. Whether you have never stepped foot on a yoga mat or you have practicing for decades, we can help guide you through practices that promote physical and mental health. Our programs and classes are intended to help people regrow the connections between their body and mind, and help them live a happy and healthy life.
What We Offer
Regrowth Yukon currently offers custom programs for individuals and groups. These programs are currently specialized for Yoga in the Workplace. These programs all have additional online components if needed.
We also offer two drop-in Vinyasa Yoga classes every a week and private classes upon request. Private classes are available as one on one sessions or in small groups
Why It Works
The brain, body, and breath all work together to function properly. They are in constant communication with each other. When a person goes through traumatic events (real or perceived), the brain and body will begin to function in fear, stress, anxiety, etc. When this happens, the brain stress system will become completely dysregulated - which leads to inadequate sleep, poor nutrition, chronic emotional/mental stress. This can lead a person to feel horrible, use harmful substances or act in harmful ways for their body, mind, and relationships. We provide guidance and exercises to help people repair and reconnect those relationships.

Hello!
I’m Gemma. I’m passionate about the science and spirit behind movement, meditation, and breath work. I’ve been an athlete my entire life; competing in track and field and sailing in her youth, and now, as an adult, I compete in various long distance trail and road running events. I’ve studied Agricultural Sciences at UBC and have since received two degrees; one in Global Resource Systems and another in Education. I am the mother of two beautiful beings who continue to be my greatest teachers in life. My education and life experiences have given me a wide range of skills and knowledge to pursue my passion of building Regrowth Yukon.
I created Regrowth Yukon to give my clients space and expertise to increase their overall wellness in a holistic way. I have been a Yoga Instructor for over a decade and have guided thousands of people through breath, movement, and stillness. My heart lays in the art and science of Vinyasa Yoga, but I have also taken courses on meditation, breath work, anatomy, and various styles of yoga practices. I am a certified Vinyasa Yoga for Youth at Risk Instructor, Postnatal Yoga Instructor, and Trauma Informed Yoga Instructor. I have taught thousands of hours of yoga to people coming from all walks of life. I believe deeply that movement, meditation, and breath work are superpowers that help us to heal and grow. I know that health and wellness is a complex and beautiful weave of connections between the body, mind, and spirit.
